We are a group of health care educators improving practice through simulation and other experiential learning modalities.
Healthcare simulation is a methodology for educating healthcare professionals through the use of educational technology. The simulation professionals guide the learner through prescriptive scenarios in a safe setting. The learning continues during the debriefing process where the collected group can engage in a facilitated and safe conversation to identify errors and mark successes.

The mission of the Simulation Educators of Western New York (SEWNY), a collaborative, sharing and mutually supportive organization, is to support all healthcare educators, academic and clinical, to achieve excellence in simulation education by promoting expansion of simulation and educational technology innovations through local and regional networking utilizing easy and affordable access to education in simulation methods.
