Consultant & Researcher in Healthcare Simulation & Interprofessional Education
Education:
A medical doctor from Pakistan; Master in medical simulation from Drexel University; PhD in simulation-based health profession education from MGH Institute of Health Professions
Work Experience:
Previously simulation educator & clinical nursing instructor,
Currently a consultant at various nursing and interprofessional education programs
What I love most about simulation:
Improving health professionals' knowledge and skills while enhancing their psychological safety

Position Title: Assistant Clinical Professor at Roberts Wesleyan University
Education and Work Experience: I received my BSN from Elmira College in 2015 and my MS in Nursing Education from Roberts Wesleyan College in 2018. I have worked primarily in Emergency Medicine my entire nursing career. I have taught clinical, lecture, and lab/simulation for Roberts and some clinical for U of R school of Nursing. I have been a full time educator for Roberts Wesleyan University since July 2022.
What I love most about simulation: I enjoy engaging with students in a safe learning environment to really process their critical thinking and nursing skills

What I love most about simulation:
My favorite thing about simulation is the ability to be creative. I love being able to fill gaps in their education with interesting and engaging learning activities.

Before making the transition to Higher education I worked primarily as a bedside RN caring for children with cancer and other chronic illnesses. These experiences drove my passion to help educate future nurses.
What I love most about simulation: The moments when students take didactic, clinical, and laboratory learning and experience the “AH HA” moments during simulation and debriefing.
