At Roberts Wesleyan University, we are committed to excellence in nursing through innovative education, scholarship, and service. In our simulation and skills labs, we clinically practice in a safe space to develop critical thinking, technical skills, independent decision-making, and collaborative teamwork.

In the 12-bed Margaret Rambo Nursing Practice Lab, pre-licensure undergraduate and graduate students practice skills from assessment to medication administration and treatments. The Dorothy Whittingham Simulation Center then allows the student to step into their anticipated job role in a safe space to practice and build on learned skills, with structured debriefing by faculty afterwards to solidify experiential learning. Simulations include mid- and high-fidelity manikins and standardized patients, and take place in settings that range from a hospital room to a patient home to a full Emergency Department.
